How many years of sales experience did you have prior to working for SHC?
I had 6 months of cold-call travel package sales to high school junior/seniors and college fraternity/sorority students during my freshman year in college. This was done prior to my entering this industry on a full-time basis and experiencing what later became SHC.
What was the most difficult part of your learning curve with SHC?
Since I founded SHC, I will address what was the most difficult part of my learning curve in this industry. I did not struggle with the sale itself; however I did have a difficult time telling my loved ones and friends I sold insurance for a living. I overcame this negative connotation with the conviction I have in our Medicare products and our other non-insurance products, and most importantly our destiny for continual massive growth by the ever-increasing demands of the baby-boom generation on SHC. Explained as such, people began to then see my vision of what I would accomplish in this industry. Numbers do not lie and people that know me understand that I do not stop when those numbers are able to bring my clients the best protection available and bring my company and my staff the highest return on investment.
